EAS – National Test Form One Report Due
Your National EAS Test Form One Due by Wednesday, July 3, 2019
All EAS participants must complete their 2019 EAS Test Reporting System (ETRS) Form One by Wednesday, July 3, 2019. The ETRS is available now for renewing your Form One info. Click here to access. You must file a separate Form One for each EAS endec in use at a broadcast station. The form requires you to update your identifying information regarding your location, EAS equipment, contact information and monitoring assignments.
The next national EAS test will be on Wednesday, August 7, at 1:20 pm Central. The test will use the NPT (National Periodic Test) code and will be issued through the Primary Entry Point network.
There are other things you can do now to prepare. Check your station logs (which should be completed once each week by the chief operator) to ensure you are receiving the Required Weekly Test (RWT) from IPAWS. This RWT is fed every Monday at 11:00 a.m. Contact your equipment representative for details on setting up your EAS decoder to properly receive and relay the National test.
Remember all Full power stations, Class A stations and LPTV running unique programming with EAS MUST file. Exempt from filing: Full Power satellite stations and Low power translators who are rebroadcasting a parent stations signal.
