Third, Final EAS Test Report Due Sept. 23

All EAS participants must complete the last of their 2019 EAS Test Reporting System (ETRS) Form Three on or before Monday, Sept 23, 2019.
Form Three is asking for detailed, post-test data regarding the participant’s experience in the test, including the source from which the participant first received the test message. You also may provide information about any complications experienced in the receipt or retransmission of the test. The FCC will use the information to help identify any needed steps for further improving EAS as a reliable alerting tool.

Who has to File –
All Full power stations, Class A stations and LPTV running unique programming with EAS. Exempt from filing: Full Power satellite stations and Low power translators rebroadcasting a parent stations. The FCC states, ” TV and radio broadcasters, cable television systems, wireless cable systems, satellite digital audio radio service providers, direct broadcast satellite service providers and wireline video service providers” will participate.
